Egyptian forces on Wednesday (December 12th) said they have killed 27 "very dangerous" terrorists during recent security operations, Egypt’s Ahram Online reported.
The army said in a statement that 24 terrorists had been killed in a shootout during raids in Sinai and Suez Canal cities, and that they had been in possession of weapons and ammunition.
Air forces killed three others in the country's Western Desert bordering Libya, the statement said, adding that airstrikes have destroyed 61 vehicles containing weapons and ammunition.
One soldier was killed in a shootout with militants, the statement said.
