Two Holy Mosques appoint 41 women in leadership positions

Saudi Arabia's President of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, Sheikh Abdulrahman al-Sudais, has appointed 41 women in leadership positions, al-Arabiya reported Monday (September 10th).

The appointments came from al-Sudais' "keenness to keep up with the 2030 vision of our country and to work on its implementation and benefit from it", the presidency said in a statement.

Muslim women are a "fundamental pillar in achieving this vision and in view of what is required by the public interest", it said.

"The presidency works to ensure that Muslim women are a constructive and active factor in the development of the services offered in the Two Holy Mosques," the statement said.

Wider horizons are being opened to women that would achieve progress, development and prosperity in accordance with Sharia regulations, it added.
