A Lebanese army patrol on Friday (January 19th) found the bodies of seven individuals lying along a snow-covered smuggling route between Lebanon and Syria near the Masnaa border crossing, Lebanese media reported.
Civil Defence rescue teams recovered the bodies, in co-operation with army units, the National News Agency said.
Reports said the deceased, who could have been active in smuggling, were Syrian nationals who had likely died as the result of the storm that hit Lebanon overnight.
