10 al-Qaeda suspects killed in Yemen strikes

Ten suspected al-Qaeda members in southern Yemen were killed in airstrikes over the weekend, AFP reported Monday (November 27th), as raids targeting the radical group intensify.

Fadl Tissi, Han Tissi and Sultan Amri -- three Yemenis "known for their ties to al-Qaeda" -- were killed when their car was hit in an attack on Qaifa in the central al-Bayda province late Sunday, a local government official said.

Another attack at around midnight Saturday targeted three vehicles on the road from the southern province of Shabwa to al-Bayda, killing seven suspected extremists, an official said on condition of anonymity.
