5 killed in attacks on Egyptian security forces

Two policemen were killed and 10 were injured in a Tuesday (July 4th) attack on a police armoured vehicle in North Sinai, Egypt’s Ahram Online reported.

The policemen were conducting a patrol in the southern part of the provincial capital of al-Arish.

Meanwhile, three army personnel were killed Wednesday morning when an unknown assailant opened fire on security personnel manning a toll booth in Giza governorate, according to the Egyptian army spokesman.

The terrorist attack was carried out by an unknown assailant, the army spokesman said, and the victims died from multiple gunshot wounds.
