Saudi Arabia blacklists Hizbullah members, financiers

Saudi Arabia has designated two individuals and one organisation as 'terrorists' for links to Iran-backed Hizbullah activities , Al-Arabiya reported Thursday (October 20th).

Both individuals, Mohamed al-Mohtar Falah Kallas and Hasan Hatem Jamal al-Din, hail from Lebanon. An organisation based in Baghdad, Iraq and Lebanon also was named in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

"The Saudi government will continue to combat Hizbullah’s terrorist activities with all available tools and will continue to work with partners around the world to make it clear that Hizbullah’s militant and extremist activities should not be tolerated by any nation," the statement read.

"As long as Hizbullah spreads instability, conducts terrorist attacks and engages in criminal and illicit activities around the world, we will continue to designate Hizbullah’s operatives, leaders and businesses and impose sanctions as a result of designation," the government added.

The sanctions are in line with Saudi legislation and a royal decree that addresses anti-terrorism crimes, terror financing and money laundering.

The Arab League formally branded Hizbullah a "terrorist organisation" in March, following the blacklisting of Hizbullah by Gulf states.

You are the grandchildren of apes and pigs, who are the sons of Saud. You are the ones who have created terrorism and brought it to the region. Aren’t you spilling Muslims’ blood and accusing others?! I swear by Allah you’re worse than whores! Damn you!
