Three suspected al-Qaeda elements, including a mid-ranking commander, were killed in a Thursday (September 22nd) airstrike in Yemen's central Baida province, AFP reported.
A missile destroyed the vehicle the three were using in Sawmaa region, security officials said.
One security official said extremist fighters had recently sought refuge in the vicinity following military operations against armed groups in nearby Hadramaut, Abyan and Lahj provinces.
