Yemen Prime Minister arrives in Cairo for talks

Yemen's Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid Bin Daghr arrived in Cairo early Tuesday (September 6th) to conduct talks with Egyptian officials, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.

Daghr arrived at Cairo International Airport on a private jet with a delegation of Yemeni ministers and was set to meet Egyptian officials to discuss the latest developments in Yemen, a security official said.

Daghr's visit comes as the recent UN-backed peace talks in Kuwait between warring sides in Yemen failed to reach a deal to end the fighting.

Egypt has been a member of the coalition fighting in Yemen since it was formed in March 2015.

President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi has repeatedly stressed his belief that a political solution is what is needed to end the crisis in Yemen.

Abdel Fattah al-Sisi shouldn’t have received the traitors. The government of [gibberish] Ba Mansour is illegitimate as it had been toppled. However, al-Sisi has surrendered Egypt to Al Saud. Let’s see how they will benefit him. Will he sell Egypt, its dignity and its proud people for a watch studded with diamonds?
